Are women any different than men? You bet we are! Not just our physiology but everything about us from the way we get fitness results to the way we handle workouts.
Men are known for their ability to go into the gym and lift weights to get results. Women however are more notorious for trying several different workout programs and getting frustrated from the lack of results. So what should you as a woman be doing to get results?
Strength train! Weight lifting for women means boosting your metabolism to help burn more calories within each day. Who doesn't want that? Here are the few pieces of equipment needed to create your women's fitness gym at home to get great fat burning results.
First, you need a random set of dumbbells. A range from 10 pounds up to 25 pounds should be just fine for most exercises to get started. Lifting weights is much more effective than weight machines because you tone more muscles, burn mores calories and see big results.
Second, have a stability ball handy. It's not just for core exercises! I start a lot of my clients on a ball because of it's ability to work a lot of muscles within the body. The nest part is that they are not expensive at all.
And the last piece of must have fitness equipment is: a jump rope. Jumping rope kills calories! Really... just 10 minutes burns over 100 calories. To make it more bearable, I suggest jumping rope between exercises as a rest time. You will see great fat burning results from it!
These three pieces of equipment are low cost but body friendly. Once you progress you might want to get a bit more fancy with things like: heart rate watch, exercise bands, bosu ball, etc.
